Ford Park Says No Hockey Next Year

Ford Park officials say there will be no hockey at the facility next year. John Hughes with Ford Park says the owner of the Ice Bats was unsuccessful in locating local investors so hes decided not to play anywhere for the 2008/2009 season. Ice Bats owner Randy Sanders says he will come to Beaumont in the next few weeks and will continue to try and find local investors.

The deadline for the CHL was Wednesday, the ECHL deadline passed several weeks ago. The earliest the Ice Bats could come to Beaumont would be the 2009/2010 season.
