Knife Attack

A 911 call about a man armed with a knife, covered in blood and trying to force his way into a south Monroe home came in about 4:45 this afternoon. Police are searching southside neighborhoods for the man. The search was centered around the intersection of South Grand and Malvern Street, the search has now shifted to Alabama and Standifer Streets near the zoo. Police say the suspect is wearing black shorts, a white t-shirts, a kerchief or do-rag on his head and is covered in blood. An NBC 10 News team was on the scene and will have updates.
