Chainsaw Attack

Christopher Hobbs of West Monroe will turn 21 next Monday. Despite his young age hes been arrested numerous times for violence related incidents. Tonight hes back behind bars charged with attacking his cousin with a chainsaw. Wednesday night was relatively quiet at Dustin Stanfields West Monroe home. He told us, "Me and my wife had just laid down to go to bed and about that time i hear firetrucks". Their quiet night suddenly turned into something out of a Hollywood movie. Dustin said, "The Bawcomville Chainsaw Massacre". Police reports tell us it happened at a trailer off Washington Street in West Monroe in the Bawcomville area. Christopher Hobbs was drinking with a group of people that included his cousin Melvin Griffin. The two began to argue and thats when Hobbs left the residence, cut through the woods and retrieved a chainsaw reports and came back to the trailer and thats when he attacked Griffin. Dustin Stanfield, "Its kind of scary to know you have people like that around here". Christopher Hobbs sits in the Ouachita Correctional Center, charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder in connection with the attack where he nearly severed his cousins arm, and its not the 20 year olds first brush with the law. Dustin Stanfield: "He was in trouble a lot, I mean an awful lot". Police say Melvin Griffin is in serious but stable condition at L.S.U. Medical Center in Shreveport. Hes being treated for severe artery and muscle damage to his left arm. Its unknown whether hell lose his arm. Hobbs remains behind bars on 100 thousand dollars bond.
