Lakers to Retire Shaq's Number 34

The Los Angeles Lakers plan to retire Shaquille O'Neal's number 34 next season.
A specific date has not been set, pending the release of the 2012-2013 schedule.
O'Neal retired last June after a 19-year career, including eight seasons and three NBA championships with the Lakers.
"Shaq" was named NBA Finals MVP for all three titles with Los Angeles.
O'Neal averaged 23.7 points and 10.9 rebounds for his career.
He'll be the eighth Laker to have his number retired.
