Shernay Williams- Morning Anchor/Reporter

By: Chris Brown
Updated: January 15, 2013
Shernay Williams joined the KTVE/KARD news team in February 2012 as a general assignment reporter. In January 2013, she was named morning anchor. She's excited to call Northeast Louisiana home. The Baltimore, Maryland native graduated from Coppin State University in 2009. While in college, she interned at newspapers, television stations and even dabbled in film production. She began her journalism career as a reporter for the historic AFRO American Newspaper and as a freelancer for various print and radio outlets. She fell in love with television as an associate producer for FOX 45 in Baltimore. In her spare time, Shernay loves traveling, visiting art galleries and taking dance classes. She's a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the National Association of Black Journalists.

She's always looking for story ideas and guests for the morning show, so email her at swilliams@nbc10news.net, or "like" her on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ShernayWilliams.

I think that Ch.10 is very fortunate to have such a beautiful, interesting anchor. You do a great job and they need to be thankful to have someone as your self. Also, I have not been able to watch a lot, but There was a young man named Tyler that did an exceptional job on the LAdeltafest report. I'm from El Dorado and don't even know them. You need to use him on more of your events coming up. What a great job he did ! He did not act nervous, seemed like he had studied his material. The only thing I would say, is that he needs to look more at the one he is interviewing instead of the camera. He's a keeper . Wasn't forsure who to send this too, so please forward this to the appropriate person in charge. thanks, shawna Pate
