Forum Scheduled for Monroe City Council District 3 Runoff Race

A forum is scheduled next Thursday to hear from the candidates in the
runoff election for the Monroe City Council District 3 seat.
Women United for Successful Change is hosting the forum from 6-8:00pm at the Marble Recreation Center.
The two candidates, Betty Blakes and Juanita Woods have been invited to participate.
Blakes was the lead vote getter on November 6, but didn't top the 50% mark to prevent a runoff.
The runoff election is set for December 8. Early voting for that race begins Saturday.
