Feasibility Study Approved for a New Arena and Hotel in Monroe

A new arena and four star hotel could be coming to Monroe.
City Council members approved a $95,000 study to see if the project could become a reality.
M3A architect firm of Jackson, Mississippi will conduct the study.
Mayor Jamie mayo says the firm's proposal was one of 10 submitted by architects.
Initially, about 5 building sites will be considered.
Community meetings will be held to determine if those locations would fit the construction project.
Monroe city officials will determine a completion date for the study at an upcoming meeting.
