Police Investigating Armed Robbery In Monroe

MONROE -- Monroe Police are investigating an armed robbery at a home in Monroe.
Around 3 p.m. Monday, police were called to a house on the 3600 block of Cooper Street in reference to an armed robbery.
Police say officer on the scene spoke to the victim who said he went to the home to purchase marijuana from a man whom the the victim has bought drugs from in the past.
The victim's marijuana dealer pulled out a handgun and demanded cash from the victim.
The suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. The incident remains under investigation.
