Catherine Lowe has been sentenced for manslaughter in the death of her step-daughter.
Tuesday a judge sentenced Lowe to 25 years in prison without the possibility of parole, probation or suspension for the death of Anna Celeste.
Lowe pleaded guilty on November 13, the day she was set to go on trial.
Prosecutors announced recently that Wesley Lowe would not face charges in the death of his daughter.
In January 2011, the Lowe's took Celeste to Willis Knighton Pierremont Emergency
Room on Jan. 13, 2011, for treatment, medical personnel there estimated
she had been dead at least two hours, and rigor mortis had begun taking
effect and was present in the child's facial area.
An autopsy determined the cause of death to be the result of internal injuries and bleeding into the body cavity.
