Miss Louisiana Takes Off for Miss America Pageant

Miss Louisiana Lauren Vizza is now in Las Vegas preparing for the Miss America Pageant.
Tuesday morning Vizza was greeted by fans at the Monroe Regional Airport before taking off for the competition. The Shreveport native is preparing to join her fellow state queens as they compete for the title of Miss America 2013. Supporters of Vizza were able to take pictures and speak with her before she boarded her flight.
Vizza also says hard work and determination are the tools she has used to prepare for the most prestigious pageant in the world.
Contestants will be judged in the areas of interview, talent, swimsuit, evening gown, and finally an onstage question. The Miss America pageant will be held January 8th-12th at the Planet Hollywood Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
