Flooding Spurs Closings In Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE (NBC) -- Flooding rains have led to multiple road and school closures across the Baton Rouge area Wednesday.
Much of the Gardere area was under water today as the rains fell.
Ben Burge park was filled with small lakes, instead of children.
Although roads were not closed in that neighborhood, many more across the area were.
Several schools have also canceled classes for Thursday, including all public schools in St. Mary Parish.
