UPDATE: Police Identify Body Found in Ditch in Morehouse Parish

UPDATE, 1/18:
Morehouse Parish authorities have identified the body of a woman found in a ditch earlier this week.
Police have identified her as 36-year old Julia Hong Vogel, a woman of Asian-American ethnicity.
Police say they have notified her relatives in California, but are still trying to piece together what brought her to Louisiana.
Police say she was wearing a camouflage jacket, dark sweatpants, and hiking shoes.
Police are not releasing any more details from the autopsy performed in Little Rock this week.
Officials say they are treating Vogel's death as a homicide.
Police are asking anyone who possibly saw her in businesses along the Interstate 20 corridor in days leading up to January 15 -- when she was found -- to please call the Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office at 318-281-4141.

Update: 4:19 p.m.
Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Deputies are investigating the discovery of a body in a ditch.
Deputies tell us they received a call at 10 a.m. this morning.
Deputies located the body in a ditch on Swan Lake Road, just off Highway 134 in south Morehouse Parish. Investigators haven't made any identifications yet.
Officials say they believe the person to be a Hispanic or Native American female.
Deputies say they have searched through local missing persons databases, but nothing solid has turned up.
"We have gone back through our missing persons reports but there's nothing jumping out at this time," said Morehouse Parish Sheriff Mike Tubbs. "We don't have anyone that's been unaccounted for any length of time. We'll also be contacting neighboring sheriff's also into Arkansas to see if they have anyone missing."
Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office has called for crime scene assistance, once they arrive they will remove the body and look for evidence.
