Educators and Community Gather at Luncheon

Educators and community members sat down for a luncheon Friday in West Monroe for the event "Focus on Education." The group listened on as Louisiana's "teacher of the year" spoke about issues teachers deal with on a daily basis.
Dr. Amy Weems teaches at Ouachita Parish Junior High and says meetings with the community are critical for the education system. The luncheon was hosted by the West Monroe-West Ouachita chamber of commerce at first Baptist church of west Monroe.
