Sen. Mary Landrieu to Meet with Monroe Leaders on Friday

On Friday, U.S. Senator Mary L. Landrieu, D-La., will be in Monroe, La., to speak at the American Planning Association (APA) Convention Keynote Luncheon and meet with Monroe-area city, parish and community leaders at a roundtable event hosted by Mayor Jamie Mayo.

She will also be meeting with academic leaders at University of Louisiana at Monroe.
 
The focus of this year's American Planning Association conference will be transportation, housing, universities, and individual cities in Northeast Louisiana.

Sen. Landrieu will speak on the fiscal negotiations of the federal government and how funding effects programs that are valuable to planners.
