Update: Small Plane Crash Kills at Least Two; Two Local Victims Identified

9:00 p.m. Update

At least two people were killed when a small plane crashed Thursday afternoon in Richwood.

Two of the victims have been identified.

NBC 10/Fox 14 have confirmed the victims are Dean Hart Sr. of Dean Hart Construction LLC and Max Larche of Lazenby & Associates.

None of the victims have been officially identified.

According to officals, the flight plan says the plane was carrying four people and was flying in from Beaumont, TX.

We do not know the names of the other two people on board. It's believed the flight had three passengers and one pilot.

The plane is co-owned by Central Flying Service out of Little Rock, Arkansas. 

The National Transportation Safety Board is expected in Richwood on Friday to begin its investigation.

The Federal Aviation Administration now says two people were killed in a plane crash Thursday afternoon near the Richwood Correctional Center.

The plane is co-owned by Central Flying Service out of Little Rock, Arkansas.

ATVs were brought in to bring fire crews to get to the plane crash site.

Law enforcement officials are now saying at least two people were killed in the plane crash near Richwood Correctional Center.

Update: 
At least one person was killed in a plane crash Thursday afternoon near the Richwood Correctional Center. 

Ouachita Parish Sheriff Jay Russell says the plane was a Beechcraft Bonanza, similar to a Cessna. According to Ron Phillips, the flight plan says the plane was carrying four people and was flying in from Beaumont, TX. 

The National Transportation Safety Board is en route to the crash scene to begin its investigation. 

It's still unclear where the plane was coming from or where it was headed. 

Nearly a dozen fire trucks are on the scene working to put out the flames of the plane crash. 









2:20 Thursday afternoon:

Emergency crews are on the scene of a plane crash near Richwood Correctional Facility Center. 

Louisiana State Police say they have found the wreckage of a single engine Cessna. 
It's unknown how many people were on board - but at least one person is reported dead.

According to Ron Phillips, the Director at Monroe Regional Airport, the plane dropped off radar just before two this afternoon.

I am very upset that KTVE is no more sensitive to the privacy of the family of the plane crash vitims as to show them on camera as they find out that their loved ones were dead. Have some heart and understand that these people are in shock and they need their privacy with out you sticking the cameras into their grief.
