DEVELOPING: Body Identified, OPSO Investigating Homicide

UPDATE 1/27: The victim has been identified as Chances M. Neal, 34, from Monroe.
No word on a suspect yet, but investigators say they are following up on some leads.

MONROE -- The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide that happened just south of Monroe.
Investigators on the scene say a body was found on Saturday morning in a yard on the 1800 block of Bernstein Park Road.
Investigators also say the body is a male, but an identity is not yet being released until next-of-kin is notified.
This is the only information being released at this time. The case is still under investigation.
