UPDATE: Driver Located; Investigation Ongoing

Update Monday:
Monroe Police Traffic investigators interviewed a person involved in the fatal Hit and Run accident that occurred 02-02-13 at Church and Griffin St. Monroe La.
46-year old Marshall Shaw of Monroe was killed in the hit and run.
At this time, the person interviewed has been identified as the driver of the vehicle that was involved in the incident.
The vehicle, a silver 2007 Mercury Milan, is also in police custody and is being processed by the Monroe Police Crime Scene Unit.
The driver's identity is not being released at this time because the investigation is ongoing.
Coordination with the Ouachita District Attorney's office will determine any charges that may result from this incident.
UPDATE 02/04: Monroe Police say they have received several calls through CrimeStoppers regarding the fatal hit and run, and are currently working on several leads as of Monday morning.
The victim has been identified as 46-year old Marshall Shaw of Monroe. His family has been notified.

Monroe Police are looking for the car that hit a man Saturday night just after 10 p.m.
It happened at the corner of Church Street and Griffin Street.
Witnesses advise that a white Mitsubishi Galant with dark tinted windows struck a male subject and fled the scene.
The victim was transported to a local hospital by AMR where he was pronounced dead from the injuries sustained in the incident.
Monroe Police Traffic Unit and Crime Scene Unit are investigating this ongoing incident.
