Search for New Homeland Security Director Underway

Ouachita Parish is searching for a new Director of Homeland Security. Applications are being accepted now for the position.
Tracy Hilburn announced he would be stepping down as Ouachita Parish Homeland Security Director. Hilburn says he has accepted a new position with the Tensas Basin Levee District.
Parish Police Jury member Shane Smiley, Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo and West Monroe Mayor Dave Norris will make up the selection committee searching for a new director. Deadline to submit applications is February 22nd. After applications are processed the committee will narrow down it's search and begin the interview process. Hilburn's last day is March 31st.
