Mayor Frank Hash says that the city council will vote in the upcoming weeks on whether or not to abolish the city's water and sewer commission after receiving complaints mostly about the commission's customer service.

Water commission officials say they didn't know about any complaints relating to their service.

Mayor Hash says that if the council votes to get rid of the commission, it would only be in the best interest of the city.

"We wouldn't do it unless we thought it was necessary to improve services so if it comes to that it will only be to improve matters not to make matters worse."

The commission has until March 7th when the council will decide on a final vote to make the necessary improvements.
