NBC NEWS -- If your new year's resolution included reducing your waist size, here's some good news. Now, you can find smaller bites at some of your favorite fast food chains.
With Americans striving to be healthier and make better food choices, the era of the super-sized item is getting some competition.
Smaller bites are now expanding the choices at fast food chains across America.
Pizza Hut is the latest restaurant to offer down-sized items on their menu.
Mini pizzas, called "big pizza sliders" are helping diners eat less while indulging their guilty pleasure.
The sliders which were tested last year retail for 4-dollars for an order of three or for a bigger appetite, you can buy a box of $9 for $10.
McDonald's is also one of the chains offering up smaller food portions with the launch of fish McBites.
And Burger King now has molten fudge bites.
