Hampton, AR Police Chief Suspended

HAMPTON, AR -- Hampton Police Chief Jeff Jackson was suspended with pay by Mayor Rick Shiron on Monday.
Jackson says he has no idea why he has been suspended and is talking with his lawyer about it.
Mayor Shiron says that he can't comment on why Jackson was suspended while it's being investigated by the Arkansas State Police.
Right now the state police say that there isn't an active investigation and they have not responded to NBC 10 News on whether or not there will be one in the future.
