MONROE -- Monroe Police are investigating a drive by shooting that happened over the weekend.

On Sunday around 10 p.m., police say they responded to a reported drive by shooting on the 600 block of Columbia Avenue.

Investigators say 27-year old Markealin Richard  fired a shotgun at two victims from a beige 1994 Buick LeSabre.

Police say Richard fled the scene and is now wanted by Monroe Police in relation to the incident.

The two victims, Tommy Ballard and David Hudson of Monroe, were not injured.

However, both Ballard and Hudson were arrested as a result of this incident because police say an investigation revealed the two men are suspects in a case where they threatened Richard during a fight over a Playstation 3.

It is believed at this time that the drive by shooting by Richard is retaliation against Ballard and Hudson due to earlier threats and theft in this dispute.

Hudson and Ballard were booked at the Richwood Correctional Center for threats with burglary charges pending.
