Mayor Gene Allen of Ferriday says he has found a solution to the garbage issue the city is currently facing.

Allen says although the debt with waste management began under the town's previous administration.

He's hired a private company to start services as early as Tuesday.

Allen says waste management has asked the town to pay a total of eighty thousand dollars per month to continue the service.

As of the seventh of February of this year Ferriday is in debt of more than two hundred thousand dollars and Mayor Allen says the state will have to increase the town's yearly two point eight million dollar budget to clear the debt.
