Fire Damages Home in Monroe Saturday Night

MONROE -- A house fire sparked in a neighborhood near ULM on Saturday night.
It happened around 8 p.m. this evening on the 1200 block of McGuire avenue in Monroe.
Fire crews say thankfully the three people reportedly living there were not home at the time and the fire was put out in 10 minutes.
Fire investigators on the scene believe the fire was caused by an unattended candle.
Officials say the home is not a total loss, but suffered $50,000 in damage. The kitchen and attic were hardest hit.
No injuries were reported also.
