WEST MONROE -- Two drivers walk away unscathed after a crash on Interstate 20 in West Monroe involving an 18-wheeler.

It happened around noon on Monday near the Fifth Street exit on I-20 westbound.

Police and those involved in the accident say a Buick LaSabre was traveling westbound on I-20 in the far right lane when an 18-wheeler in the middle lane attempted to switch lanes.

The driver of the car, Eugene Miller of West Monroe, says he honked his horn, but he says the 18-wheeler ended up pushing him into the side of the bridge. Miller says he spun out across the interstate, and ended up in the far left lane.

Fire crews had to cut open the car to free Miller. Both Miller and the driver of the 18-wheeler suffered no injuries.

Police narrowed the interstate down to one lane, causing very heavy traffic that extended across the Ouachita River bridge and well into Monroe.

Police say it's unknown at this time who is at fault for the crash. Both drivers have been questioned.
