MONROE -- If you were around the Capital One bank in Monroe this weekend and noticed extra police patrol, it was because of a threat made on social media.

Monroe police say on Saturday, they received a call from a concerned citizen who saw a tweet on Twitter from a Kade Batey.

The tweet said "@CapitalOne...I will be robbing one of your branches soon so I can get my money back."

For safety precautions, police say they took the threat seriously -- like any other threat -- and stepped up security at the bank on Saturday. No incidents were reported.

Police say no arrests have been made and Monroe police has not been able to contact the man yet.
