MONROE -- The Salvation Army warehouse that caught fire a few weeks ago is open again.
On Wednesday morning, volunteers were on hand sorting through the many donations that have poured into the Salvation Army since the fire.
The building has been repaired from the damage in the fire, which started from a halogen light.
Local salvation army leaders say work has been constant in getting the warehouse running again
"I think we've just been surprised at how quickly things have gone since the fire," said Corps Officer Jennifer Williams. "Almost immediately the next day, we had a group out here cleaning out the warehouse and they got it looking like nothing happened."
Donations are still being accepted for items across the board, especially clothes, household items, and furniture in good condition.
You're urged to call 318-325-1755 if you can help or even volunteer.
