UPDATE Wednesday:
Monroe Police continue to investigate the reported shooting that occurred last night at Bernstein Park in Southern Monroe. The 15 year old victim is listed in stable condition and is still being treated for the leg wound he suffered from a suspected shotgun related injury.
Monroe Detectives are currently reviewing the crime scene and attempting to locate witnesses to the incident. Subsequent interviews have been conducted and indicate that the suspected white Ford Crown Victoria may have only transported the victim to a local hospital and may not have been involved in the actual discharge of a firearm.
The reported shooting that occurred in Richwood is not connected to the shooting at Bernstein Park.
Richwood Police are investigating the incident that occurred in their jurisdiction.
This investigation is ongoing and details will be provided as they become available.

Monroe Police say the 15-year old shotgun wound victim has been released from the hospital. Police are speaking with him to confirm details on Tuesday night's shooting.
Police also say the white Crown Victoria originally
believed to be the suspect car may possibly not be the vehicle where
the shots were fired from. Police say that car was found in West Monroe
Tuesday night and may have possibly been the vehicle taking the victim
to the hospital.
Monroe Police say the Richwood shootings at Reddix Lane and Standaford that occurred around the same time as the Bernstein Park shooting are not related.
But Richwood Police chief Hunter says they believe the shooting in Richwood and South Monroe have something to do with each other.
Monroe police also say while officers were conducting the
investigation last night at Bernstein Park, a 17-year old male who was
playing basketball there accidentally dropped a gun out of his jacket.
That teen wasarrested for illegal carry and taken to jail.
UPDATE Tuesday:
Monroe police say two people were shot in the Richwood Road area, nearby the area where the drive-by shootings occurred earlier in the evening.
Police say the two victims are being treated at EA Conway Hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
The suspect vehicle from the earlier drive-by incident is still being sought by police.

MONROE -- Monroe police are investigating a drive-by shooting that left one person injured.
Around 7 p.m. Monday, the Monroe Police Department responded to a reported shooting call that is alleged to have occurred at the Bernstein Park area located in southern Monroe.
Police say initial investigation shows that a white Ford Crown Victoria was in the area at which time an unknown suspect fired a suspected shotgun from inside the vehicle towards a 15-year old male.
The teen was struck in the leg and is being treated at an area hospital for moderate gunshot wounds.
Police say the above suspected vehicle is then believed to have went to the Atkinson street area where a second shooting occurred immediately following the Bernstein Park incident.
In this incident, a 17-year old subject fired shots from a handgun towards the white Ford Crown Victoria, which then fled the scene.
Monroe Police were able to apprehend the 17-year old subject and he is currently in custody.
A white Crown Victoria was pulled over by several police cars off 18th Street and Desiard (pictured), but police say that vehicle turned out to be the wrong one.
The white Ford Crown Victoria containing the unknown suspect(s) is still at large. Monroe Police Detectives were called to scene and this investigation is ongoing at this time. Details will be made available as they become known.
