Public Hearing on Proposed 4th Bridge in Ouachita Parish

MONROE -- The Louisiana Department of Transportation held a public hearing Tuesday night to discuss plans to bring a fourth bridge to Ouachita Parish.

Three areas are being studied as a possible location for the bridge.

One of those locations being studied is Highway 165 North at Finks Hideaway Road over to Whites Ferry Road in West Monroe.

The overall project is estimated to cost over $200 million dollars.

The studies being conducted on the three areas won't be complete for another year.
