UPDATE: Monroe Regional Airport Control Tower Not on Closure List

UPDATE: The airport control tower at Monroe Regional Airport is not on the FAA list to close.
The Federal Aviation Administration did decide to close 149 federal contract towers will close beginning April 7 as part of the agency's sequestration implementation plan.
The FAA will begin a four-week phased closure of the 149 federal contract towers beginning on April 7.
The only tower in Louisiana to close is located at Downtown Shreveport Airport.
