Update: Monroe Police Arrest Two for Vehicle Burglary

UPDATE:

Monroe Police have made an arrest on the vehicle burglary investigation.

Monroe Police have arrested Devario Johnson, 18, of Monroe and a 16-year old juvenile for the vehicle burglary that was reported on Monday in the 5100 block of Conrad. 

Police say the two are alleged to have broken into a vehicle and fled from police. 

Both were later arrested at Parkview apartments. 

Police say information on the juvenile can not be released.  Johnson was booked into OCC for burglary charges along with several traffic violations related to the pursuit. 

The juvenile was booked into Green Oaks Detention center for the same charges.

Monroe Police are trying to find two suspects they say tried to steal a car.

Police responded to a vehicle burglary in progress at 5003 Conrad Drive around 4 a.m. Monday.

Officers observed a vehicle leaving the area, and when a traffic stop was attempted, the vehicle fled east on Richwood Road No. 1.

A short vehicle pursuit ended in Parkview Apartments where two suspects fled on foot.

Currently, a search is in progress for the suspects. Stolen items were found in the suspect's vehicle.
