On Wednesday March 20, Wossman High School will be conducting a "Lockdown" drill at about 10 a.m.

Police say the purpose of the drill is to examine and test the emergency functions and response of school staff and students and to prepare for times of emergency.

Monroe Police will be taking part at the school to assist staff with security concerns.

Police want parents to know that the activity is a drill and not an actual emergency.

Parents are urged to contact the school board or Wossman High if they have any questions regarding the drill.
