PAWS March Offsite at Petco

By: PAWS of NELA
Updated: March 20, 2013

PAWS of Northeast Louisiana will be sponsoring its monthly offsite adoption opportunity of available spayed/neutered pets from the Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter a week earlier in honor of Easter weekend.

Come see our great variety of adoptable pets at the PAWS' offsite adoption on Saturday, March 23rd, 2013 at Petco in Monroe from 12 pm -4 pm.  From historical data, we know that the number of animals taken into the Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter increases substantially in the spring and summer seasons, starting this month, so it is imperative that the adoptable pets find homes.  Adopting a pet saves two lives:  one of the animal adopted and another for the space that adoption created for another pet coming into the shelter.  Since we cannot adopt our way out of this surplus of homeless pets, we would like to remind ALL pet-owners to have their pets spayed/neutered as soon as the animals are of age.

If you aren't in the market for a new friend, come get a FREE pet ID tag to help your current pets find their way home if they ever become lost. A collar without ID tags just isn't enough.

To view some of the dogs and cats available for adoption, please visit   www.parishpets.petfinder.com.    The (cash) adoption fee is $60 for dogs and $50 for cats, and this includes a spay/neuter certificate and 7-in-1 & Bordetella vaccinations.
