The pursuit began
just after 10 Saturday night. A West Monroe police
officer identified a car that had been reported stolen earlier in the day. That's
when he says he tried to pull over 39 year old Michael Navarre.
But Navarre
allegedly didn't stop. The chase was on....reaching speeds up to 120 miles per
hour on the interstate. Louisiana State Police spike stripped the stolen car
twice around the Rayville area.
Navarre
continued to ride on rims...sparking as he flew through Richland Parish. After
cutting across the median Navarre
crashed into a culvert off the interstate.
Navarre
was booked into Richland Parish
Detention Center
and will later be released to West Monroe Police.
