LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A Russellville doctor accused of stockpiling fully automatic machine guns and grenades has a father who is a known international arms dealer, a federal agent says.

David Oliver, a special agent for the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, also told a court hearing Monday in Little Rock that Dr. Randeep Mann was under investigation for smuggling illegal drugs - anabolic steroids - into the U.S.

Oliver says both Mann and his father, Kuldip Mann, were in the Indian military and had access to the weaponry.

An affidavit by a federal agent says police found nearly 110 fully automatic machine guns and grenades on Mann's property Wednesday.

State Police spokesman Bill Sadler says Mann's permit to carry a concealed handgun was confiscated by a state trooper at the hearing.
