LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - An Arkansas doctor found with a large cache of machine guns and grenades was ordered Tuesday to remain in custody pending his federal trial.

U.S. Magistrate H. David Young said he was unconvinced that Dr. Randeep Mann would remain in the country if allowed to go free on bond..

Mann, 50, is charged with possessing unregistered machine guns and grenades that only the military can legally have in the U.S.

Mann's home was searched by federal agents on March 4. They found 110 fully automatic machine guns worth more than $1 million. Agents said the grenades at the property were made to be from launchers attached to military rifles.

Mann's attorney said he may appeal Young's ruling, but has to first confer with Mann.

No trial date has been set.
