Celebrity Bowler Pat Odom said, “You’re all wampy jawed when you’re up there, not only can you not see the lane or where you are but you feel crooked.” Nearly sixty local celebrities got together at El Dorado Lanes all to bowl and raise money for the members of S.I.G.H.T. or the Sight Impaired Group Help Team. S.I.G.H.T. Director Pat Qualls said, “It’s like a social outlet and we have meetings once a month with speakers, refreshments and fellowship.” The bowling tournament is the one and only fundraiser for the group--- so the celebrity bowlers bring in donations that help fund all the projects S.I.G.H.T. takes part in. “We can buy small aids, like tape recorders, medicines, sometimes glasses,” Qualls said. Celebrity Bowler Phil Herring said, “This is absolutely wonderful, it goes to a great cause and I have a lot of fun with this bowling blindfolded. Odom added, “I’d seen them bowl before but this is hard! I’m going to kill someone before the night is over. My first ball went in the next lane!” At the end of the night the organization says they had more participation than any other year, and everyone had a great time, helping out a great organization.
