Clementin Bradley said, "Just like a bad movie or a nightmare"
But for Clmentin Bradley it's reality. Her 21 year old son Ladarious Bradley turned himself in to police Thursday night after being wanted on an attempted 2nd degree murder charge.
Monroe Police Investigator Jeff Dowdy said, "He was in a vehicle with at least 4 other persons one of which we're still looking for."
Police say Ladarious and 4 other young men were riding around Millhaven street Saturday night when one of the men shot into a car full of people. Ladarious's mother says she tried to save her son before it was too late.
Bradley said, "I kept telling them, to my son and talking to my nephew and telling them to stay out of the streets and stay out of the associations they be with and they wouldn't listen."
Police say the shooting was territorial violence between the east and south sides of Monroe.
Dowdy said, "As far as gang related to the effect of people that are staying in the same neighborhoods that associate with the same people the victims in these crimes were targeted specifically for the location in which they live."
Clementin Bradley says she's well aware of the gang violence that exists around her house. But, fighting the streets is a war she says she'll never be able to win.
"They got nothing better to do but gang up and do bad things. we raise them we teach them better but you can't teach the best child in the world, but it's something out there is going to take him, the streets going take him."
