Musicfest 2009

Its here. Musicfest 2009. People started crowding the streets of El Dorado early Friday evening… and the music started not too long after.
Patrice Pike of Austin, Texas is the former lead singer of the hit making band, Sister Seven. She hit the main stage shortly after seven.
Pike said, “Ive heard El Dorado has a lot of people who love live music. I think its wonderful that you guys do this, so Im really excited to be here."
But Musicfest isn’t just fun of the big kids, it’s fun for the little ones too.
The music will continue Friday night until midnight with Grammy winners Blues Traveler closing out the night.
Greg Gardner of Greg Gardner and the Voodoo Cowboys said, "Really I dont think enough folks know how cool this place is-how cool downtown is and what they do- Mark Givens does a good job with this and its a lot of fun."
There’s something for everyone at Musicfest 2009. It kicks off early Saturday morning with kids world, a gumbo cooking competition, SpongeBob square pants, a trick bike show, Miss Musicfest and lots and lots of music!
