The nations highest court refused to step in to a dispute over insurance policies.
Xavier University and 68 individuals and businesses want their insurance companies to pay for flood damage.
A lower court ruled against them, and they asked the Supreme Court to allow their lawsuits to continue.
But the justices refused that appeal and one that would have sent the cases to the Louisiana Supreme Court for a ruling.
