-Mosquito Abatement Tax passed for Ouachita Parish. New faces representing the Ouachita Parish Town of Richwood. -Richwood Mayor: (D)Steve Hunter 52 % (D)Ed Harris 48% Town alderman Steve Hunter pulled a close victory over incumbent Mayor Edward Harris. Richwood Alderman: (D)LaVern Hester 13% (D)Alvin Jackson 11% -In Lincoln Parish, all taxes passed, including two that are parish wide and one just for Dubach residents. Number 1 is a 10-year 4.94 mill property tax renewal for improving school buildings in school district number one. It passed with 82 % of voters saying yes, and 17 % saying no. Property tax number two is a 10-year 4.94 mill property tax renewal for support of public schools in district number one. That one passed with 81% of the voters for it and 18% against it. -Dubach residents passed a 10 year 3.25 mill property tax renewal for maintaining the Dubach district number 5 school facilities.
