It was a hotly contested race...that came down to just 16 votes. Now, for the first time in more than 20 years, the town of richwood has a new mayor -- and hes not your average politican. His name is Steve Hunter. And he has very little political experience. But hes a blue collar worker, who some residents believe, will bring about the change, that theyve wanted for so long. You may have seen him around town installing your energy meter. And if you live in Richwood, hes your new leader. In a town with a history of apathetic voters...more than half of the community came out to vote Saturday. And by a mere 16 votes, voted for a man some say, will bring about change:. "I believe in Steve, hes a good Christian man, and the community knows, hes helped a lot around here". "Its time for a change" Hunter, who has a high school education, and admits to a lack of political experience, says he already knows his first order of business. Hes going to literally clean up. Hunter takes office July first. And he hasnt decided yet, if hes going to quit his job installing meters.
