The victim is a young man that neighbors say never got in trouble or bothered anyone. And they say its a shame hell never get to start the life, he was meant to live. A pool of blood is a stark reminder of the violence that went down on Ransdel Avenue last night... a drive-by shooting that turned into Lake Providences first murder of the year. Police say 20 year old Roy Sanders was shot in the neck, then the bullet went through his head. He was pronounced dead on the scene by medics. "This is a cold blooded, cowardly killing because if you would kill a kid walking and run, you have no conscience and i dont know what makes your heart beat," said Lake Providence Police Chief Renee Jones. Police say this murder is a mystery. They have no motive and say the killer may still be roaming around the area. And this murder has been handed over to the state police.
