Drug Arrest

One of the arrests happened at Suncoast Sound in Monroe.
Employees here were shocked when a man getting a car alarm installed here was arrested.
Tuesday was a normal day at Suncoast Sound a Monroe business that specializes in car audio and video installation.
Keith Mayfield owner of Suncoast Sound told us, "A customer came in the store about 9, 9:30 yesterday morning, dropped off his vehicle to have a security system installed".
The business completed the work Tuesday afternoon and thats when the normal day took an odd turn.
Keith Mayfield, "After we finished with it the police showed up and seized him and his vehicle".
It all started here when Ouachita Parish Sheriffs Deputies attempted to serve a warrant here at this apartment in the Town & Country area of north Monroe".
Information from that arrest led to a home on Mcguire street in the Booker T area of north Monroe".
Two Monroe men, James Turner JR and Malvin Goldman, are behind bars charged with possession with intent to distribute.
Police served a search warrant on Elmhurst Circle in Monroe.
When they did they discovered this: Over 12 pounds of marijuana and 100 Ecstasy tablets.
Now they developed information following that bust that led to another seizure.
This time over 4&1/2 pounds of marijuana, 400 Hydrocodone pills, 2500 Ecstasy tablets and over 15,000 dollars in cash".
Both Goldman and Turner JR are being held at the Ouachita Correctional Center.
Both men have an extensive history of drug arrests.
