Lightning strikes house, causes fire

A lightning strike is being blamed for a house fire late this afternoon. Fire crews were called out to a house on Saint Joseph Drive in Monroe around 3:30 after lightning struck the roof. The lightning caused a small fire in the houses attic, but that fire was quickly brought under control by firefighters. No one was injured in that fire.
