Elaine Holsomback said she wonders what shes going to eat tonight because her food is beginning to spoil without electricity to power her refrigerator. She said, "Were still out of power and have been since eleven oclock yesterday morning." Other Jonesboro residents, like Elaine, had severe tree and wind damage after the storms, but have their electricity back on. Cody Morton of Jonesboro, said, "It was real windy. It was bad wind, lightning, raining real bad and then the power went off and we didnt get any till 3 oclock today." Trees are uprooted all over the Ark-La-Miss. Down power lines and trees have kept Entergy crews working all night long. They said one of the most important things to remember is to be patient. Roy Parker, Entergy-Senior Line Mechanic, said, "Please be patient. Were working as hard and fast as we can. We got extra crews in today to help us so were just doing the best we can." He continued, "We shut down last night about 10 and I started again this morning about 4." Despite Entergys efforts, around six thousand people are without power across our region. Jackson Parish isnt the only place waiting for their utilities to come back on. Caldwell Parish Sheriffs deputies tell us some citizens there may not see the power back on till Monday. -Candace Miers, NBC 10 News
