Its a double murder that has drawn up so much attention over the past year...that the attorney for Roy Lee Odenbaugh says he wants to move the case out of Bastrop. But some residents say, that is only going to take more money out of their taxpaying pockets. Its a crime authorities say is so heinous, that prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against this man Roy Lee Odenbaugh. Hes accused of shooting his wife and mother in law back in December 2006 on Summerlin Lane. Its a case that has garnered so much pretrial attention that Odenbaughs lawyer says he wants to move the case out of Bastrop. Moving the entire operation could add on hundreds of thousands of dollars, to an already pricey case. When the trial is finished, the judge presiding over the case says it could cost taxpayers almost a million dollars. And in terms of whether or not this case will be tried in Bastrop, that decision will be made in a couple of months.
