Woman Accused of First Murder of the Year Slated for Trial

Its a murder that police say is the fallout from a love triangle gone wrong. Now, the woman accused of Monroes first murder of the year is heading to trial. Tonight, the victims family is speaking out. Saying its an unforgivable crime...that they believe is fueled by jealousy. Tasha Listers attorney offered prosecutors a guilty plea to manslaughter today. But that wasnt good enough for the district attorneys office or the family of the victim, who say Tasha Lister should spend the rest of her life in prison. police say it all began with an argument over this man, Ronald Gix. In the early morning hours of February 4th the fight would turn deadly. Tasha Lister would allegedly shot her friend Jessica Williams in the neck. Williams died the next day from the wound. Leaving behind her family -- including two small children. Williams family says she was killed out of jealousy and they say if convicted, they hope Tasha Lister will spend the rest of her life in prison. Tasha Lister will be heading to trial September 8th.
