Mississippi's Only Abortion Clinic to Remain Open

The only abortion clinic operating in Mississippi will stay open for now.
The state's governor calls the decision "disappointing;" a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order to keep the clinic from shutting down.
The order blocks enforcement of a new law in Mississippi.
That law would require an abortion clinic's providers to have privileges to practice at nearby hospitals in addition to being certified OB/GYNs.
Officials at the clinic in Jackson, Mississippi, say the doctors there are all OB/GYN practitioners, but they travel in from other states and only one can practice at a local hospital.
