Dogs from all over the country will soon show what's behind their bark in Monroe.
The 2012 Cottonland Cluster Dog Show is scheduled for August 31 through September 2 at the Monroe Civic Center Arena.
This year's show will again feature four all breed shows and 23 specialty shows including: basset hounds, Chinese Shar-peis, and many more breeds.
The judge's panel includes internationally known judges from 14 different states and Canada.
Organizers say with more dogs participating in the show-more tourism dollars are expected.
"We've increased the show, there is going to be 400 additional dogs over what we had last year. So, obviously the economic impact going to be even greater this year" said Scott Bruscato with Monroe/West Monroe Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Proceeds from the spectator gate will be donated to the Ouachita parish sheriff's canine unit, humane societies, scholarships to ULM, LSU and Mississippi State.
